Boulder Country Club is Hiring an Assistant Golf Professional Near Boulder, CO
- Initiate and promote golf activities for members and guests of the Club.
- Render professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services as needed.
- Lead the sales staff, player services staff, starters, and pace of play program.
- Communicate daily activities of golf operations with the instructional staff, golf course maintenance staff, and Clubhouse Food and Beverage staff as necessary.
- Enforce Club’s rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf carts, and other golf facilities.
- Manage all aspects of coordinating play.
- Answer incoming phone calls.
- Schedule tee-times for members.
- Maintain daily sales records, demo club inventory, and monthly inventory counts.
- Assist in the ordering of hard and soft goods.
- Assist in keeping staging area clean.
- Clean and put away golf carts at the end of the day during the off-season (November – March) and when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable shop and sell merchandise to members.
- Organize and provide in season instructional programming.
- Provide instruction for both private lessons and group clinics as well as Junior Golf program.
- Organize and provide off-season programming.
- Develop promotional signs for upcoming tournaments.
- Assist in preparations for golf tournaments of men’s and women’s leagues.
- Assist in starting and running all tournaments.
- Responsible for producing scoreboards and scoring tournaments.
- Serve as rules committee for tournaments.
- Complete all duties in accordance with the operations manual.
- Serve as a back-up for new employee training and schedule creation for golf shop employees.
- Serve as the golf shop manager-on-duty as assigned.
- Work Availability: Mondays – 4-8 and Tuesday – Sunday – Available all days. Generally work 5 days per week.
- Must have knowledge of computers, Golf Genius, POS Systems, teaching, golf club repair, rules of golf, tournament operations, accounting, golf car fleet management, and selling.
- Interpersonal, leading entry level employees and delegating skills a must
- Ability to play golf at a proficient level.
- Calligraphy helpful but not required.
- Must be enrolled in the PGA PGM program or have Class A PGA status in good standing.
- College Degree plus, but not required.
